Key Responsibilities
Implement production plans, budgets, and timelines in accordance with production specifications. Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and specifications. Execute planned workflows and schedules across production departments to maintain smooth operations. Assess production risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. Conduct daily meetings to monitor and track production schedules, ensuring timely progress. Control production schedules and manage material requirements to guarantee a steady flow of approved materials. Collaborate regularly with peers and management to improve production planning systems, supporting business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify any delays and adjust schedules to meet deadlines. Evaluate production statistics and analyze their impact on schedules. Report significant variances from plans to management along with proposed corrective actions. Coordinate sub-contracted orders through the purchasing and procurement department. Continuously monitor Work in Process (WIP) and work closely with stakeholders to maintain WIP standards. Manage the reissuance of materials when unexpected yield variances occur. Plan, release, monitor, reschedule, update, and close assigned work orders efficiently.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A proven track record of 3 to 5 years in a similar manufacturing or production planning role. Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow management. Ability to assess risks and implement mitigation measures effectively. Experience coordinating with procurement teams and managing subcontracted orders. Proficiency in monitoring and controlling Work in Process (WIP). Excellent communication skills for conducting meetings and reporting to management. Strong analytical skills to evaluate production data and adjust plans to meet deadlines.
