Job : Accountant

Full Time: 12pm - 10pm (Tentative Time)

The Accountant supports the organization’s financial objectives by providing financial analysis and recommendations. Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data. Protects assets by planning and completing financial audits; identifying inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls; recommending improvements.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction.
Establishes functional accounting objectives in line with organizational objectives.
Establishes accounting operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
Provides financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information; advising departments on the collection and analysis of data.
Ongoing reconciliation and review of cash balances and forecasts to ensure appropriate management of cash flow.
Reporting to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
Engaging in ongoing cost reduction analysis in all areas of the company
Creating additional analysis and reports as requested by leadership
Maintaining of vendor relationships and managing accounts payable
Maintaining client and partner relationships and managing accounts receivables
Preparing P&L’s and distributing to leadership team
Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Other Requirements and Responsibilities:

Better than average written and spoken communication skills
Basic accounting and finance, budgeting and cost control
Employee relations, safety, employee engagement and development
Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
Fluency in English & Computer Proficiency is a must!
Customer Service / Order taking

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Previous Accounting experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment a plus
Exceptional computer literacy with expert-level Excel and Microsoft Office Suite software
Previous experience with QuickBooks accounting isa plus
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, to include Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare ad-hoc financial reports, statements and projections as needed

In addition, the Staff Accountant is expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of the business.
