Truck Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the schedules and routes of our fleet. The dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining communication with drivers, and optimizing logistics operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and dispatch drivers, trucks, and loads according to availability and customer needs.
Communicate with drivers via phone, GPS tracking, and dispatch software.
Monitor routes, weather, and traffic conditions, and adjust schedules as needed.
Coordinate with clients, shippers, and receivers to confirm delivery times and requirements.
Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, fuel usage, and delivery details.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Resolve any issues or delays and provide support to drivers on the road.
Use dispatch software and systems to track and manage freight.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant college coursework or certification in logistics a plus.
Proven experience as a truck dispatcher or in a similar logistics role.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and dispatch software (e.g., TMS systems).
