Responsibilities:

Planning and monitoring production schedules and altering them when necessary· working closely with maintenance technicians to overcome production hold ups, such as machine faults.Following with Sales / Inventory Managers for orders and achieving target (Coordinate with the main office where the manufacturing orders come from).Once order is received, then;

  • Order form processing.
  • Giving production plan or PO to factory according to order received.
  • Purchasing fabric and/or arranging raw material(s) according to order form &
  • PO issuance to factory.
  • Following up with vendors regarding dispatch of fabric and other material(s).

Following up with manufacturing unit regarding dispatch & order completion.Regular checkup should be there whether the production is done as per order form or not.Once dispatch is done, packing slip should be mailed from factory & invoicing should be done & sent to main office.The apparel production manager is in charge of all the manufacturing, packaging and operations of the apparel unit in the factory unit.Examine the finished product carefully and look for flaws in them.Flaws found in manufacturing must be rectified immediately.Check for the quality of the raw materials and standardize it.Hire the workers for the factory and provide training for them, as needed.Assign the workers to the different department according to their skills.Appoint departmental heads because there are hundreds of employees in a factory.Take reports from each of them about the working of the department.Ensure that all the manufacturing targets are met.Plan daily production in optimum level.Forecast and run production at optimum plant/machine capacity.The safety procedures must be implemented in the factory.An in-depth knowledge and experience of handling machines on assembly line.Costing, Material handling, Floor Handling, Management of Manpower and Machines effectively, Fabric allocation, Finishing.Shortlist suppliers on basis of Technical and Commercial capability.Product sampling, sampling feedback, vendor selection.Ability to do right costing, ensuring that the production is cost effective.Shall be dealing with material planning & scheduling with Fabric/trims stores.Follow up of average of fabric for cutting Department.Assist R & D staff in their work.Coordinate with suppliers of machines materials, setup line dyers, knitting & weaving mills etc.

  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexibly.
