FINJA is looking to recruit highly skilled and passionate Software Engineer (Python Developer).
As the backend developer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend architecture for the product from start to finish.
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- At least 1 year of experience in web development with Python as the main language
- 1-year experience working with Django framework
- Sound knowledge about the Django Rest framework
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience using cloud platforms such as GCP
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Proficient understanding of Git version control system
- Strong object-oriented design and understanding of system architecture
- Self-driven and always looking to improve
Responsibilities:
- Develop the whole backend of the product
- Write clean and well-commented code
- Document all development work done with referencing in code
- Designing, coding, integrating, and debugging applications
- Take ownership of deployment, testing and integration pipelines
- Ensure best software practices are followed
- Apply new technologies to further improve the functionality
- Work coherently with the frontend developer
- Interact with the Project Manager frequently and provide feedback on progress, alert him of any risks, and help develop a strategy to mitigate these risks
Good to Have:
- A Django web app to show that you have developed
- Experience working with agile development
- Familiarity with other Python frameworks such as Flask
- Experience with React JS
- Experience working in a Linux based environment
- Knowledge of the fintech ecosystem in Pakistan
- Decent communication skills
