• Prepare annual staffing plan and budget
  • Assist school administration in developing strategies for attracting talented and experienced candidates
  • Manage entire staff recruitment process including advertising vacancies, interviewing candidates, negotiating offer and completing recruitment formalities
  • Run monthly payrolls for teaching, non-teaching and support staff and ensure timely disbursement of salary
  • Execute annual performance appraisal process across the school, collaborate with the section heads to complete TNA for staff, plan and manage internal and external trainings and conduct initial and annual induction and orientation programmes for staff members
  • Steer annual increment process by closely coordinating all activities with section heads through final approval and implementation
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and legal requirements relating to staff recruitment, compensation & benefits, working hours & conditions and retirement or resignation and implement suitable policies & procedures for retaining best talent, ensuring staffs’ full commitment and assuring staff satisfaction
  • Supervise day to day operations of the HR department including staff attendance and leave monitoring, grievance handling and facilitation, processing of various staff requests and final settlements
  • Maintain staff personal record and ensure confidentiality of record and information
  • Communicate effectively with staff members by accurately conveying written and verbal instructions in a timely manner
  • Support school administration in maintaining school-wide culture of mutual trust, integrity, honesty, discipline, sincerity and teamwork and be a role model
  • Provide information and reports to school administration on key HR activities and key performance indicators

Skills that we look for: 

  • Soft skills, particularly an ability to work with people of both genders who come from diverse professional and social backgrounds and have varying emotional needs
  • Capacity to think at both operational and strategic levels
  • Experience of leading and managing people in HR function
  • Numerical skills including experience of working on a well-known HRIS and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Hands-on experience with digital systems and devices
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Confident speaker with a demonstrated track record of presenting ideas and information to a large group of people
  • Membership of a recognized Human Resource Professional Body is preferred but is not mandatory
