Sub-Editor job is available in Islamabad, Lahore, & Rawalpindi for a leading Media Group. An ideal candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or related field along with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience news editing, scriptwriting, and English to Urdu translation.

Sub-Editor job role is to edit and proofread news content, ensure grammatical accuracy and clarity, translate stories from English to Urdu, and support the editorial team in producing high-quality content for both print and digital platforms while meeting tight deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

Edit news stories, features, and scripts for grammar, punctuation, structure, and clarity
Translate news content from English to Urdu accurately and fluently
Ensure all content aligns with editorial standards and house style
Collaborate with reporters and senior editors to finalize news items
Maintain deadlines and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Fact-check stories and ensure accuracy of information

Skills:

Strong command over written Urdu and English
Proficiency in editing and scriptwriting for print and digital media
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
