• The Sales Analyst’s primary responsibilities are to support the sales organization in analyzing past and current business trends, new growth opportunities, and competitive actions through mining internal sales and syndicated scan data.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to effectively analyze and communicate business performance and ROI by specific customers and regions to help inform on marketing and sales efforts to assist in the strategy necessary to achieve profit, volume, and market share growth targets.
  • This person should be adaptable to the changing needs of the business and be able to shift the focus accordingly.
  • This person will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in their approach while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • This individual will report to the Chief Revenue Officer with a dotted line reporting to the Chief Finance Officer.

Responsibilities

All employees are responsible to report food safety and quality issues to those responsible to initiate action.

  •  Utilize customer and internal data to drive distribution towards more profitable items, generating a more favorable brand mix and increased margins.
  •  Identify our brand share of distributor categories and work through the sales team to grow that share.
  •  Determine customers not carrying our product type and operators currently buying competitive products, while working directly with the sales team to develop plans to gain distribution.
  •  Work through the sales team to utilize promotions to drive growth through existing customers and gain trial at new operator customers.
  •  Proactively analyze account/category trends while understanding the impact of market intelligence, category competitors, and displays.
  •  Analyze data from multiple sources to generate accurate pre-promotion forecasting and post-promotion analysis.
  •  Assist in developing presentations to collaboratively gain accounts’ support of innovation, displays, and promotional/pricing strategy.
  •  Work directly with broker and sales team to ensure promotions are loaded into the system accurately and on a timely basis.
  •  Monitor accuracy of loaded promotions and ensure modifications are executed as agreed upon by Sales and Finance.
  •  Monitor the execution of approved plans utilizing multiple sources to validate price points, items promoted, and volumes achieved.
  •  Identify spending issues and help determine appropriate countermeasures.
  •  Work with the deduction management team (internal and brokers) to ensure timely and accurately applied deductions to promotional events.
  •  Play a key role in the development of volume and net revenue for the annual budget and quarterly outlooks.
  •  Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (Business Degree preferred).

Minimum 1-3 years in CPG/Perishable sales analytics or category management. Experience with AC Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, or other forms of syndicated scan data, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint).
