Performing and assisting locations with installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
Utilizing lockout tagout procedures and all other safe practices while working on equipment, and testing equipment for safe operation
Assessing need for new equipment; providing specifications and rationale, and participating in vendor selection and approval process
Setting up and installing equipment associated with new systems/manufacturing lines
Supporting tooling/equipment vendor reviews
Ensuring all plants within the region are following Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) strategy/plan/process; supporting the implementation of any new/upgraded TPM programs

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The most qualified candidates will have:

Ability and desire to travel 50% of the time or possibly more depending on needs and time of year.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance and electrical technical experience in a machine shop environment demonstrating the good mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problem-solving ability
Associate’s degree or certifications in a technical/manufacturing field (not required, but a definite plus)
Steel processing industry experience highly desirable, such as experience with roll forming and press brake machines and controllers/PLC
Sound math and problem-solving skills
Positive can-do attitude with a strong desire to continuously learn
Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks, being highly energized, self-motivated, and capable of working with little direction
