We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as an Instructor for our Health Care Assistant program. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students aspiring to become competent and compassionate healthcare assistants.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver curriculum: Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans, lectures, and hands-on activities that cover all aspects of the Health Care Assistant program curriculum.
Classroom instruction: Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as patient care, medical terminology, infection control, and vital signs monitoring.
Clinical training supervision: Facilitate clinical training experiences by overseeing students during their practical rotations in healthcare settings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and professional standards.
Assess student progress: Evaluate student performance through quizzes, exams, assignments, and practical assessments to measure understanding and proficiency in course materials.
Provide feedback and support: Offer constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them enhance their skills and address areas for improvement. Provide academic and personal support as needed to promote student success.
Stay current with industry trends: Keep abreast of developments in the healthcare field, including changes in regulations, best practices, and technological advancements, and integrate relevant updates into the curriculum.
Collaborate with colleagues: Work collaboratively with other instructors, program coordinators, and administrative staff to ensure smooth program operations, effective communication, and continuous improvement of teaching methods and materials.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A valid teaching credential or certification in education is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working as a health care assistant or in a similar role. Prior experience in teaching or training healthcare professionals is highly desirable.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of healthcare principles, practices, and regulations. Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
