PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
- To perform the various quality controls activities during production lines to maintain the quality parameters of a product as well as maintain laboratory activities to develop the formulations, methods of manufacturing, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect the sample of incoming material from quarantine for quality verification and record its identity.
- Check its specifications like weight per unit volume, color, pH & specific gravity (in case of liquid), physical appearance and condition, packaging, and brand etc according to GRN/ PO.
- Compare the specifications noted with required or approved specifications. If the specs are same or on higher side of the approved specs, approve the quality otherwise reject the same.
- Intimate his findings to Procurement Department in writing and record the process with date and time along with the identity of material.
- Dispense the material against each production card/ batch card.
- Inspect the line before batch manufacturing and ensure the hygienic environment, equipment and personnel requirements.
- Communicate the acceptance or rejection of any/all materials, components, or spare parts etc., in writing to the procurement department and mark or tag the lot or the individual components as ‘ACCEPTED’ or any other suitable code duly communicated to Procurement department.
- Select the size & pattern of sample from all batches of manufactured products, test the sample to verify its quality & communicate in writing to manufacturing department for further process if the quality of product is found satisfactory or discard the batch if quality is found not satisfactory.
- Perform inspection activities at various stages of production but not limited to bulk, filling, packing and Finished goods.
- To maintain the record of Samples for Stability Study.
- Coordinate with R&D and production departments for contemporary specifications and standards to be followed while inspection and/or testing for verification of quality of materials and develop SOPs. This includes maintaining of complete Standard References.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive complaint, recalls, and rectification system.
- Comply with all other roles and responsibilities as mentioned in the defined related procedures.
