Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies across all channels, including general trade, modern trade, and wholesale, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Maintain consistent communication with brand Territory Managers (TMs) and Area Managers (AMs), providing timely updates on prospects, market developments, and sales progress.
- Conduct regular budget reviews to ensure all sales and marketing activities are executed within allocated financial limits.
- Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee distribution setups, ensuring compliance with company policies and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Apply expertise in distribution management and network development to strengthen and expand distribution channels.
- Recommend and refine sales strategies based on comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
- Conduct regular follow-ups on performance indicators to identify weaknesses and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Build and manage a robust shop network alongside a detailed store-wise sales management system to enhance market penetration.
- Develop deep and effective penetration networks across all sales channels to maximize reach and sales volume.
- Leverage strong geographic knowledge and market insights to optimize sales efforts and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in the FMCG sector, with preference for candidates experienced in Homecare or Pulses categories.
- Expert-level understanding of the general trade (GT) and modern trade (LMT) market landscapes, including channel dynamics and customer behavior.
- In-depth knowledge of branding, product positioning, and best practices in distribution management.
- Hands-on experience in sales planning, execution, and performance management.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.
