Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manager Legal - Contracts to oversee our contract management processes and deliver comprehensive legal support across multiple business functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a diverse array of contracts, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of legal requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external legal advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, partnership agreements, and other legal documents. Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle by monitoring key provisions such as renewal dates and termination clauses, facilitating timely contract reviews and renewals.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify potential legal risks and provide strategic advice on contract-related matters.
- Liaise with external legal counsel to obtain legal opinions, address complex issues, and support litigation efforts when necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to contracts, revising internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Conduct thorough legal research on contractual obligations, intellectual property, tax matters, and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver training and guidance to colleagues on contract management best practices and legal issues impacting the business.
- Assist in drafting policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), frameworks, and other legal documentation as needed.
- Handle miscellaneous legal and corporate matters, including intellectual property, tax compliance, and adherence to Middle Eastern legal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in contract management or a legal role focused on contracts.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and associated legal principles.
- Excellent negotiation and legal drafting skills.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
