Merchandiser - Costing

Manage and control complete costing function of the company with factory, customers and cross functional teams with a sense of urgency to meet 100% inquiry to order conversion for all clients with an aim to provide the best cost keeping in view client targets and previous quotes. Ensure timely costing turnaround and maintain the record of all quotations made to the clients.

Responsibilities:

Complete understanding of all Innoknits clients and their business.
Work with Supplier factories to turnaround all costing inquiries within 24-48 hours of receipt from the client.
The prices should be accurate based on customer targets, previous quotes and underlying business needs.
Review prices with HOD merchandising & COO Innoknits before quoting to the customer.
Communicate directly with the client and the supplier costing teams on price negotiations.
Maintain a record of all the all price quotations made to the clients.
Perform various price analysis as required by the management.
Validate PO prices at the time of PO receipt and work independently with the client in-case of any issues.
Get PO prices approved by COO within 24-48 hours of PO receipt.
Ability to negotiate prices with factory based on standard cost elements like consumption/overheads, fabric price etc.
Ability to understand, analyze and validate cost breakdown sheets/ cost sheets
Keep all price negotiations and price quotes confidential.
Any other task/ responsibility as assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or higher
1-2 years’ experience in the knitwear apparel industry costing
Knowledge of fabrication, processing & garment making process
Ability to update fits based on pattern and garment changes from customers and make corrections if necessary
Proactive on problem solving and resolution oriented
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
Ability to multi-task, self-manage and work independently
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
