English Subtitler

Localogic Media (LM) is seeking applications from candidates proficient in English. The position involves creating subtitles (or closed captions) primarily for English movies and TV series as well as occasionally in Urdu. Excellent performance based bonuses awarded to top performers.

Job Description:

Closed Captions are subtitles added to television programs or video recordings to allow deaf and hearing-impaired viewers to follow the dialogue.

Job Requirements:

Ø Good English listening and comprehension skills.

Ø Good English composition and grammar.

Ø Working knowledge of computers.

Ø Good typing skills; prefer speeds of >45 words per minute with accuracy.

Ø Good understanding of American way of speech, accent and colloquialism. Should be able to differentiate the spelling between British and American words.

Ø Good understanding of American culture as well knowledge of “slang” words.

Ø Good transcribing skills

Ø Good internet research skills.

Ø Good English vocabulary

Qualification:

Ø Minimum educational qualification: College Graduate (exceptions can be made for exceptional candidates enrolled in undergraduate programs)
