You will be responsible for keeping our product Makesbridge and Platform highly available. Our platform is being used by customers across the globe, so its 24x7 availability is very important to us.
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent IT work experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the same field for Sr DevOps and 0-1 years of experience for DevOps role.
• Good understanding of different services fundamentals including DNS, Web, etc.
• Experience in configuring and maintaining Postfix, Apache, Tomcat, Jboss and MySQL.
• Proficiency with shell scripting language.
• Experience with different flavors of Linux including Debian & Red Hat.
• Good understanding of different protocols including SMTP, IMAP & POP.
• Good understanding of different Virtualization including KVM, VMWare.
• Good understanding of Nagios
Responsibilities:
• Hands on experience in administration and management of Linux servers.
• Managing and maintaining complex web hosting configurations including load-balancers, web and database servers.
• Deployment & support of issues for production environments.
• Troubleshooting errors with proprietary and open source applications in production and pre-production environments.
• Identifying, implementing, and documenting of technical SOPs for maintenance tasks.
• working with development teams to further operationalize applications with a focus on repeatability, redundancy and scalability.
• Ability to create and maintain policies, standards and overall system documentation.
• Migration of existing services to new hardware / virtual machines.
• Develop and maintain installation, configuration, maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Installation & administration of Linux environments like Red Hat, CentOS & Ubuntu. Patching, account creation, upgrades, backups, etc.
• Installation, administration and support of tools used in the software development lifecycle such as Git/SVN, Maven, etc.
