Role Essentials and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, execute, and oversee our SEO strategies for Canadian projects, ensuring alignment with market-specific requirements.
  • Drive organic search optimization to achieve top performance and maximize ROI.
  • Undertake comprehensive keyword research tailored to the Canadian market.
  • Maintain and report on essential SEO metrics, providing insights into performance and opportunities.
  • Analyze various performance indicators, such as redirects, click-through rates, and bounce rates, compiling and presenting detailed reports.
  • Develop accurate buyer personas for our Canadian audience to refine targeting and content strategies.
  • Promptly address and resolve SEO issues or gaps, enhancing our online presence.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with our web development and marketing teams to ensure SEO strategies are integrated across all platforms.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in SEO and digital marketing, particularly within the Canadian context.
  • Seamlessly integrate SEO efforts with content, design, social media, and pay-per-click (PPC) marketing strategies.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record as an SEO Manager, SEM Manager, or similar leadership role, with a focus on Canadian or similar markets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern SEO practices, with a particular focus on Canadian digital landscape nuances.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS.
  • Strong skills in SEO analytics and reporting.
  • Expertise in using key SEO and web analytics tools (e.g., Conductor, Screaming Frog, MOZ, Google Analytics, WebTrends).
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, capable of effectively coordinating with Canadian teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong numerical aptitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
