NOC Core Engineer is a Doha Based Job post. The selected candidate will be provided with job visa and will have to move to doha.
NOC Core is responsible to provide level 1&2 technical support to Field staff in Transmission Network.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improving Transmission Network health by reducing alarms by routine PM & CM
- Media planning & allocations
- Network resource optimizations
- Providing level 1&2 technical support to Field staff in Transmission Network.
- Early warning notification follow up
- Transmission Network Capacity management
- Centralized Configuration management from NOC for the Transmission Network
- Planned activity management of Transmission Network
- Any Other Projects Assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
Skills:
- Knowledge of Networking in L2/L3, IP routing (ISIS/OSPF/BGP/MP-BGP), MPLS-RSVP/LDP, ACL, and QoS.
- Knowledge of SDN/Nuage Networks (VNS, VCS)
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux operating systems (REDHAT/CENTOS).
- Hands-on experience with the installation of Hypervisors (KVM/VMware ESXi/Hyper-V).
- Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Management Systems (VMware/Openstack/Container).
- Knowledge of EVPN, VxLAN and Vswitch technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting language like Python/BASH/XML.
- Familiarity with (some) SDN technologies like OpenvSwitch and Openflow
- Familiarity with compute virtualization and/or cloud-native technology
- Familiarity with Service Routers like NOKIA SR7750 or competing products
