● Be responsible for closing books at the year’s end upon completion of annual audit.
● Review the various ledger accounts including reconciliation of the general ledger, revenue accounts, expenditures, and cash balances.
● Monitor the financial activity on assigned programs and prepares expenditure reports for program managers as necessary.
● Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and makes or directs correcting entries.
● Prepare, maintains control, and is responsible for subsidiary accounting records involving a variety of transactions and accounts.
● Monitor cash flows and using the same to predict future financial trends.
● Formulate strategies to be used in the long-term financial plans for a business entity.
● Develop management mechanisms in the finances department for purposes of minimizing the financial risks.
