OCCI are currently seeking an experienced Accountant with an experience of Three to Seven years in the field. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of sales tax and income tax regulations, adept bookkeeping skills, and expertise in import documentation and processes. Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills are necessary for this role.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
• Follow proper sales tax and income tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately and promptly.
• Assist in income tax preparation.
• Stay updated and changes in tax regulations.
Bookkeeping:
• Record daily financial transactions accurately.
• Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure proper explanation and documentation of expenses and revenues.
Import Documentation and Processes:
• Manage import documentation requirements proficiently, including customs forms, invoices, and shipping documents.
• Accurately record and report import-related transactions.
• Follow import regulations and streamline customs clearance procedures.
• Must Know elements of standard costing and budgeting.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Four to Seven years of progressive experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in Manual Accounting also.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
