1. To plan and control production activities according to jobs.
2. To co-ordinate with sales department to ensure production of required parameters, to produce good quality according to specifications/requirements of the client.
3. To attend all production problems either by taking action within the authority or referring to the Managing Director with recommendations.
4. Ensure effective utilization of manpower through tactful dealing.
5. To maintain discipline, harmonious relations in the department.
6. To maintain and to further improve the quantity/quality without compromising quality.
7. To plan and organize the department in a manner best suited to economical production.
8. Responsible to plan, maintain and get procured optimum level of stock jointly with purchases, Quality and Stores departments.
9. To make the production priorities for engraving jobs.
10. To provide technical assistance to the employees where required
11. To plan the requirement of production, electrical spares, equipments and tools well in time.
12. To maintain close liaison with Electrical, Mechanical and Purchase departments.
13. To ensure the adaptations of safety measures for the employees in the department.
14. To maintain optimum level of spares in stores with the coordination of Purchase and Store Officer.
15. To ensure effective Administrative control over all production activities
16. To carryout other duties/tasks assigned by the Managing Director.
17. To ensure effective and efficient implementation of Quality Management System in production department.
18. Generates monthly production report, and compiles an annual production report at the end of the year.
