Essential Responsibilities:

Conduct assessment of infrastructural assignments;
Develop Drawing, sketches and designs of construction/infrastructure projects including buildings, schools, Mosques, Water supply schemes, Shelters, hand pumps, community water storage tanks and CPIs (Community Physical infrastructure) etc.;
Develop Bill of Quantity, Cost estimates and cost abstracts of proposed constructions.
Analyze infrastructural designs and BoQs proposed by community and partner organizations and provide recommendations;
Ensure minimum standards in construction assignments including incorporating Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and environmental protection as Penny Appeal cross-cutting theme;
Provide support to construction firms, vendors and Partner organizations during construction;
Ensure quality of construction work on the site as agreed in project documents, drawings and BoQs;
The PO will keep liaison with various stakeholders, partners and local administration for the execution of the projects;
Visit field sites on a regular basis and furnish reports;
The PO will furnish reports of his activities/projects for submission to the Programme Manager;
The PO will ensure PAPK branding and visibility at all stages of the project;
Document bottlenecks, problems and issues/gaps, and propose effective solutions;
Document and analyze innovative strategies and new approaches for implementation of the infrastructure projects;
Provide support in emergency relief activities and other PA short-term assignments and perform as per the instruction of the supervisor/in-charge;
Perform all other tasks assigned by the line manager or Leadership;
Review feedback received from the field and ensure its standard as per SOPs for submission to PM;
IPR submission and approval from the relevant department.

Required Skills:

Command over AutoCAD 2D &3D.
Command over infrastructure projects cycle management.
Excellent command of Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) will be required.
Excellent report writing and data management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a stressed environment.
Ability to carry out multi-tasking and task prioritization.
Ability to strictly meet deadlines.

Desirable skills:

Experience of working in Punjab, KP, including Merged districts, Sindh, Baluchistan, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan
Excellent communication skills in English
Understanding of local languages

Qualification and Experience:

BS/BSc/B Tech Civil Engineering
At least three years of working experience with a national/international organization preferably with charity.
Proven experience in managing humanitarian and development projects, especially infrastructure-related projects.
Excellent command over community mobilization and organization with proven experience.
Excellent Proposal writing and Report writing skills.
Proven experience of working/coordinating with line departments at provincial and district levels.

Travel Requirement:

Job requires 50% travel approximately to carry out assigned responsibilities within the coverage area (AJK, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and KPK). Must be willing and able to travel.
