With a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, I possess a solid academic foundation in this field. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in climate change, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience.
As a project manager for the GLOF project, I am responsible for leading and overseeing initiatives aimed at reducing local vulnerability to climate change-induced disasters, particularly Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs). With a focus on integrated climate change community-based disaster management, agriculture and livestock sector adaptation, and water conservation measures, I am committed to improving the resilience of mountain communities in Chitral.
My previous roles as a climate change disaster risk reduction coordinator and a training officer for disaster risk reduction have equipped me with strong technical and field skills in disaster management, community mobilization, and climate change adaptation. I have successfully developed project proposals, conducted training programs, and contributed to research on vulnerabilities and adaptive strategies in mountain communities.
I am highly proficient in various computer applications, including Arc GIS, Canva, and Microsoft Office tools. I possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and I am dedicated to finding long-term solutions to environmental challenges. Develop strategies/methods and implement activities for climate change adaptation and disaster risk management projects.
Develop project proposals
Align project activities with the CBDRM model, GLOF hazard-oriented strategies, and allocated timeframe and budget.
Develop the CBDRM strategy and link it to the location and Pakistan-wide strategy.
Provide strategic direction and overall supervision for successful project implementation.
Create work plans and manage the project budget based on the defined outputs and results.
Monitor project progress regularly and take corrective actions when needed.

Ø Prepare guidelines related to the management of DRR & Climate Action.
Ø Coordinate implementing Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change activities with other organizations.
Ø Propose and prepare a community mobilization plan by engaging local decision-makers and civil society organizations to ensure their involvement in all phases of DRR planning.
Ø Support the Implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Strategies in the northern regions.
Ø Support the development of a long-term program way forward based on the Disaster Risk management experience and Plan of Action.
Main responsibilities
Ø Conduct Training Need Analysis (TNA) for training programs and coordinate with the program manager to develop comprehensive training programs.
Ø Conduct training of CBDRM, SBDRM, First Aid, Rope management, Water rescue management, ICS, EOC, INSARAG, Firefighting and Avalanche search and rescue.
Ø Design and deliver trainings, workshops and seminars, update/enrich curriculum, prepare lesson plan and teaching aids, for trainings.
Ø Liaise with key stakeholders particularly the local community for a greater achievement of organizational goals and objectives and coordinate with local institutions through proper communication.
Ø Assist Regional Program Officer in arranging meetings with community and other project related activities at regional level.
Ø Coordinate with other implementing partners particularly government line departments and share reflections regarding project activities in the region.
