Have 18 years of full time Rural Development Agriculture and Livestock Project management experience in the international donor funded projects and have 18 years of professional education in the field of Rural Development and Veterinary sciences. Mostly provided services from dawn to dusk in the USAID funded projects. Have qualified in 18 years of Rural Development MSc (Hons) Degree and also passed the professional degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). 


Have provided services in the USAID funded projects like AMD in CNFA, TAP in ASF, Pakistan Entrepreneurs project in MEDA, ILED in CNFA and RI. 2.1.1      Main responsibilities
o   In charge of the overall planning, monitoring and technical supervision of all Livestock related activities in Pakistan.
o   Main responsible for the elaboration of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with state Livestock Departments and their implementation based on its existing normal mechanism in place or close proximity.
o   Provide support/training to the Economic Secuity (EcoSec) Unit within the Livestock section teams including the ICRC Livestock team Peshawar (2 FO\'s) and Quetta (1 FO) and to the national society of the red cross movement, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) volunteers in as far as they are involved in activities
o   Ensure that progress and objectives of the Livestock Section of the EcoSec Operational Plan 2012 are met
o   Ensure internal coordination with ICRC Delegation/Sub-Delegations, EcoSec Programme Manager, other ICRC departments and external coordination with authorities and other stakeholders in the field.
o   Ensure that budgeting and planning procedures for the programme implementation are followed
o   Ensure a proper monitoring progress and evaluation against set objectives as per EcoSec Operational Plan.
o   Ensure timely reporting on programme progress (weekly, quarterly and donor reports, as required)

2.1.2      Main tasks
2.1.2.1           Analysis
o   Analyses the information on livestock related developments/problems in his area of responsibility.
o   Puts the situation analysis in the broader context of the livestock sector in the whole of Pakistan.
o   Based on a/m analysis, conducts needs assessments in his area of responsibility and, in cooperation with the EcoSec Coordinator proposes interventions to address the identified needs.
o   Contributes to PFR 2012 – problem analysis and contribution to the formulation of the objectives
2.1.2.2           Management
o   Establishes MoU\'s and Plan of Action (PoA\'s) to implement proposed activities.
o   Oversees/supervises the progress of implemented activities – carries out the necessary monitoring exercises and ensures timely reporting on the progress of programmes to his superiors.
o   Coaches and supports 2 livestock FO\'s in PES and 1 livestock FO in QUT. Where PRCS volunteers are involved he ensures that their skills\' gaps are identified and proposes adequate capacity building.
o   Contributes to the appraisal of the staff under his supervision.
o   Checks programme progress against set objectives and takes corrective measures when necessary.
o   Checks programme expenditures against planned budget and take corrective measures if necessary.
o   Ensures adequate monitoring and evaluation of the programme.
2.1.2.3     Reporting
o   Supervises FO\'s WOR contributions to the SD\'s of PES and QUT and contributes to the EcoSec Quarterly Report.
o   Ensures that the monthly statistical reports (MSR) are correct and sent to EcoSec_ISL in due time.
o   Scrutinises assessment/monitoring/evaluation reports from FO\'s and ensures appropriate coaching.
2.1.2.4           Representation/coordination
o   Attends regular coordination meetings (both internal and external)
o   Focal point for all Livestock related issues (both internal and external)

o   Distributed 415 Dairy Cow for Widow Grants to the armed conflict affected women in KPK.

o   Trained 169 staff of livestock department KPK and FATA. For KPK, two courses conducted were on Training of Facilitator course (14 days duration) and two Refresher Courses conducted were on Livestock Farmer Field School Methodology. For FATA, conducted three trainings for FATA livestock farmers on fodder production and management.
o   Contributed in assessment planning, procurement quarantines selection distribution and monitoring of 631 dairy cows for widow packages in Buner.
o   Conducted consultation workshops for planning of livestock interventions in 2010.
o   Donated veterinary equipment’s and tools of worth of PKR 15 million to livestock department KPK and FATA. These include equipment’s of Artificial Insemination, cold boxes, syringes and semen analyzer... Technical assistance provided in designing of specification, procurement, handing over and monitoring of these equipment’s.
o   Attended workshop in Nairobi Kenya on Agriculture Food processing  from 27 September 2010 to 02 October 2010   
o   Planning and identification of livestock interventions for 2012 with livestock department FATA/KP.

o   To create linkages with the livestock research institutions both within and outside the country in order to be able to introduce new ideas for promotion of the livestock sector of the Project Area
o   To maintain daily coordination with the CPI Section of the Project in order to ensure proper shelters for animals.

o   To supervise staff of Livestock Sector of the Project and be responsible for their effectiveness/efficiency all the time

o   Contributed in planning, procurement and distribution of more than 6000 small/large livestock packages. These packages also include the fodder seeds/fertilizers etc.
o   82000 poultry birds/poultry feed procured, distributed in the 17 earthquake affected union councils.
o   Facilitated AHITI to conduct 12 Trainings on poultry management/husbandry by AHITI-Peshawar.
o   Contributed to construct more than 1200 livestock shelters in the project area. 
o   MoU was signed with the Department of livestock to do quarantine supervision and certification of animals to be distributed to the affected communities.
