Finance Functions

Work with the management to produce robust budgets and forecasts for all sales and cost areas 

Identifies risks and opportunity areas through the forecasts.

Effectively plans cash flow needs based on business plans.

Provides weekly performance reporting to the management highlighting trends and opportunities to assist in improving profits, margins and reducing costs. 

Issues detailed P&Ls to the management, highlighting poor performance and opportunities 

Works with local retail team to ensure ordering and receipting is done effectively 

Prepares monthly P&L reports to include analysis comparing each month to the last

Ensures all accounts payables are processed in a timely manner

Prepares weekly accounts receivables reports

Prepares monthly financial reports showing final P&L reports, to include month-over-month trends

Prepares weekly store performance reports.

Provide cost analysis of suppliers to identify savings opportunities

Coordinates the creation of POs for expenses

Ensure all expenses hitting the trail balance are accurate

Supports P&L owners with financial analysis and data requests

Inventory Functions

Manage inventory replenishment system to ensure flow of goods from vendor to warehouse and warehouse to stores.

Place and Manage orders and delivery tracking. Highlight repeat vendor performance issues to management. Communicate significant issues that will affect sales performance to management.

Participate in Assortment Plan reviews to address slow-moving products, discuss replacement opportunities, and make recommendations of replacement product based on test as well as ongoing product performances.

Increase sales & turn by collaborating with the store managers on optimal placement of product.

Manage and coordinate transfer of end of year write off product out of the stores.

Review and approve system generated POs for re-orders on products.

Work with management to set minimum stock levels on all new product as well as warehouse safety stock.

Lead the strategy for allocation of merchandise to maximize each venues sales opportunity while making sure there is enough merchandise in the warehouse(s) to react to each stores’ needs.

Review current items to ensure that par levels are accurate.

Strategically coordinate transfer of merchandise from store to store to maximize sales opportunities.

Conduct inventory audit and manage inventory corrections at the direction of Finance.

Facilitate transfer of product between all locations.

Other responsibilities assigned by the management.
