We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closings, including reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare VAT returns and other tax-related filings.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Liaise with clients to address inquiries and provide financial advice.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Key Requirements:
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping
- Familiarity with accounting software, especially Xero
- At least 1.5 years of experience in bookkeeping with UK clients
- Good organization and time management skills
- Candidate should be ACCA qualified/part-qualified or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
