We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Taxation Officer to join our tax team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing tax planning advice to clients or management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other tax returns.
2. Tax Research: Conduct tax research to stay up-to-date on tax laws, regulations, and court decisions.
3. Tax Planning: Provide tax planning advice to clients or management, including advice on tax minimization strategies and tax compliance.
4. Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and other tax laws.
5. Audit and Investigation: Assist with tax audits and investigations, including responding to tax authority inquiries and negotiating tax settlements.
6. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify tax planning opportunities and to ensure tax compliance.
7. Communication: Communicate tax-related information to clients or management, including tax advice, tax returns, and tax planning strategies.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in taxation, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
3. Professional certification: Professional certification, such as CA, or CMA.
4. Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations: Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and other tax laws.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and identify tax planning opportunities.
