Technical Writer

Currently, Constellation Payments is looking for a Technical Writer to develop and maintain documentation for operating procedures and product lines. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation supporting payment products, APIs, integrations, onboarding processes, and internal technical and operational procedures. Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, QA, compliance, and support teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise content tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences. Plan, write, and edit user documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, online help, software guides, and installation/configuration instructions. Simplify complex information into plain language and enhance content with images and videos where appropriate. Review and edit your own work as well as documentation produced by others to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Work within an Agile software development lifecycle, quickly learning new and complex features to produce thorough and up-to-date documentation. Manage priorities effectively to meet tight deadlines and adapt to evolving project requirements. Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, version control protocols, and regulatory requirements such as PCI and SOC.

Required Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in technical writing or editing, preferably in Fintech, SaaS, or payment processing industries. Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and technical writing, with proven experience in SOP documentation. Strong verbal communication skills to engage effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams. Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence, Git, Markdown, and static site generators like Docusaurus or Hugo. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel, OneDrive, and Teams. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience creating developer-focused documentation such as APIs, SDKs, and integration guides is highly desirable. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, Postman, and tools like Swagger/OpenAPI is a plus.
