The incumbent will take forward the community/clinical programs (Medical) of AKHS,P and will provide technical support in programs planning, development, monitoring and supportive supervision to regions to strengthen the community/clinical programs and medical services across AKHS,P.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Planning: S/He will assist in planning of community / clinical programs / project (medical) activities in consultation with related stake holders to achieve objectives defined in program/project documents.

1.2 Technical Support Unit Development and Implementation: S/He will:

1.2.1 Develop evidence based, sustainable, replicable and geographically appropriate health program interventions as per regional needs (trainings, Guidelines, SOPs)

1.2.2 Build sustainable regional capacity for execution of behavior change communication (BCC) programs

1.2.3 Extend technical support in the development review and or implementation of quality assured community based health care services offered by medical and dental staff at Basic Health Centers and outreach areas. The thematic programs may include Reproductive Health Care, Women Health Programs (focusing maternal Health and Breast Cancer prevention), Child Health Program (Focusing IMNCI, immunization, growth monitoring and nutrition), School Health Program (Focusing assessment and health education among school age children), Health Youth Initiative (Focusing lifestyle/life skills), Adult Health Program (Focusing NCD primary and secondary prevention and management of diabetes and hypertension), Infection Prevention and Control, Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Mental Health Programs (De-stigmatization to management of mental health conditions), Early Childhood Development Program and Health Promoting Model.

1.2.4 Extend technical support for the development, review and or implementation of quality assured clinical program services being offered by medical, surgical, radiology, laboratory and dental staff at Comprehensive Health Care Centers such as Extended Family health Centers, Medical Centers and Public Private Partnership facilities (such as Rural Health Centers, Taluka Hospital and Civil Hospital) etc

1.2.5 Develop health promotion and behavior change communication material for public awareness in collaboration with communication department.

1.2.6 Facilitate regions/projects in organizing and conducting capacity building activities for health Care Providers (LHVs, CHNs, RNs, MOs, CHWs, paramedical staff, field supervisors and managers) and community volunteers on various programs.

1.2.7 Strengthen regional programs through offering supportive supervisory services

1.2.8 Develop cost effective, alternative models of service delivery (if required)

1.2.9 Build skill sets of the volunteers to enable them to support the health interventions at various levels of health service delivery.

1.2.10 Provide support for integration of clinical and community units within AKHS,P and with AKUH in collaboration with operations heads and other functional departments.

1.3 Monitoring / Coordination: Monitor and Evaluate all clinical guidelines at Health Facilities.

1.3.1 Assist senior management in monitoring the community/clinical programs (Medical) activities and will timely inform Senior Manager about how the programs are tracking, any issues which come up which might affect the program outcomes or their delivery date, any budget implications etc.

1.3.2 Ensure integration of health promotion and disease prevention initiatives at community and clinical programs.

1.3.3 Strengthen managed referral care model within AKHS,P to ensure the appropriate utilization within various level of health services.

1.3.4 Ensure implementation of continuous quality improvement concept to the community and clinical programs of AKHS,P through capacity building and team building.

1.4 Controlling: S/He will assist in ensuring controls of resources through effective monitoring and field visits and will be responsible for ensuring quality of programs activities.

1.5 She will assist Senior Management in providing support in the on going review and improvement of programs projects, reporting etc.

1.6 More than 90% of effective utilization of time for the duties with accomplishment of objectives will constitute successful performance.

1.7 The major responsibilities will be ensuring timely achievement of program objectives, effective utilization of resources, personal safety, safety of others and other’s work performance (if applicable).

1.8 She will be responsible for performing the any other managerial tasks assigned immediate supervisor.

1.9 She will be responsible for ensuring compliance to AKHS,P AKDN/AKF and donor policies. H/She will also comply to those policies.
