1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain operations, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Forecast demand for raw materials and finished products, taking into account market trends, production capacities, and customer requirements.

2. Supplier Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

3. Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
  • Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce the risk of shortages or overstock situations.

4. Logistics and Distribution:

  • Coordinate transportation logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing routes and modes of transport to minimize costs and delivery times.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of raw materials and finished products to customers.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the quality control team to maintain high standards of product quality throughout the supply chain process.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols and inspections at various stages of production and distribution to identify and address any issues proactively.

6. Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess supply chain processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Implement best practices, process enhancements, and technological solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.

7. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing the supply chain operations, including food safety regulations and environmental regulations.

8. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the supply chain department.

9. Cost Management. 

  • Manage budgetary constraints and identify opportunities to reduce costs throughout the supply chain and operations.
  • Analyze cost drivers and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, efficiency, and productivity, and take proactive measures to address variances. Ent.
