Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
Build tools to reduce the occurrences of errors and improve the customer experience
Strong experience with NoSQL (ElasticSearch), SQL (MySQL) (We also use Redis)
A working understanding of code and script (Python, Shell, and/or Ruby)Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies
Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
Perform root cause analysis for production errors
Investigate and resolve technical issues
Deploy updates and fixes
Assists in diagnosing and solving production issues
Develop scripts to automate visualization
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Production Ops engineering on a data processing/mining product is a plus
