Ideal Candidates Should Be

Comfortable working in distributed teams of 2 to 6
Able to communicate clearly and respectfully to all team members
Comfortable communicating with non-technical colleagues and users
Familiar with the idea of object-oriented programming

Familiar with Agile development methods required skills for all duties include having a working knowledge of:

Ruby >= 2.4
Rails >= 4, common conventions, patterns, and best practices for how to write and run automated tests for Rails apps using Rspec and Capybara (or equivalent)
Git and Github
CSS3 + HTML5
XML and JSON basics
working from the command line (OS X or Linux)

Other skills required for specific duties include having a working knowledge of or experience in:

SCSS
Javascript and jQuery
Twitter Bootstrap
How REST APIs work
Rails gem patterns
Spree Commerce

Bonus skills specific to our projects include experience or familiarity with:

Amazon Web Services
Solr search indexes
Using XPath to querying XML documents

Skills Required

The developer must have demonstrated knowledge of Ruby on Rails development, preferably with 2 -3 years of professional experience.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required or sufficient work experience with sample code and references.
