Acadia Tutors Academy is seeking dedicated Online Tutors to join our dynamic team of 22 professionals. This role involves delivering high-quality educational support to learners through advanced educational technology platforms. Tutors play a crucial part in fostering an engaging and effective virtual learning environment, tailoring their teaching methodologies to meet diverse student needs. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in online tutoring or related educational roles, demonstrating strong proficiency in utilizing digital tools to enhance student learning outcomes. Successful candidates will manage a team of tutors, coordinating efforts to maintain consistent instructional quality and student progress. They are responsible for guiding team members, setting performance standards, and supporting continuous improvement in teaching practices. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to motivate and lead a team, and expertise in applying educational technologies effectively in remote instruction settings.
Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized online tutoring sessions using educational technology platforms to support student learning and engagement.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles in a virtual environment.
  • Manage and lead a team of 22 tutors, providing direction, motivation, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate tutoring effectiveness by tracking student progress and adjusting instructional methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with team members to share resources, strategies, and best practices for online education.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and their families to provide updates on academic performance and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive online learning atmosphere for all participants.
  • Stay current with advancements in educational technology and incorporate relevant tools to enhance tutoring sessions.
  • Coordinate scheduling and workload distribution among tutors to maximize productivity and meet student demands.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to support ongoing personal and team development.
