As a Site Engineer Civil / Quantity Surveyor at ACC, you are responsible for overseeing and managing civil construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required standards. You will lead a team of 20 persons, ensuring that work is performed efficiently and according to safety and quality guidelines. Your role is vital in bridging the gap between design plans and on-site execution, ensuring the project aligns with company goals and client expectations.

In this position, you apply your technical knowledge gained through a Diploma in Civil Engineering and at least five years of practical experience to monitor and control quantities, costs, and timelines for building work. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough site inspections, supervising construction activities, preparing and evaluating quantity surveys, and maintaining clear communication across teams and stakeholders. Your leadership skills will be crucial in guiding a large team to deliver high-quality construction outcomes while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations for civil construction projects, overseeing the progress and quality of work performed by the team.
  • Perform quantity surveying tasks including measurement, valuation, and cost control to ensure project budgets are maintained.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies to achieve smooth project delivery.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 20 construction personnel, providing clear instructions, motivation, and support to ensure effective teamwork and productivity.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project progress, quantity survey results, and any site issues requiring management attention.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure work compliance and address any discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all site personnel.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts and delays by collaborating with stakeholders and adjusting plans as necessary to keep the project on schedule.
  • Monitor the procurement and usage of materials, ensuring cost-efficiency and preventing wastage.
  • Assist in preparing tender documents and bid analysis as part of project initiation and planning phases.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quantities, labor hours, and materials for accurate billing and auditing purposes.
