We are seeking an experienced Account Director to join a global, tech-enabled creative production and procurement partner. This company supports brands aiming for stronger, sustainable growth, with a workforce of 4,500 colleagues across 64 markets and clients in over 120 countries. Managing more than $2 billion in client spend and operating 26 creative studios, the company leverages a proprietary technology platform that processes over 1.3 million transactions for 111,000 active users. Their client portfolio spans retail, consumer goods, technology, financial services, and healthcare sectors.

The Account Director will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of key global accounts, nurturing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions that meet operational and financial targets. This leadership role requires balancing daily client support with long-term account planning, driving team performance, and maintaining compliance with service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence
- Lead efforts to deliver exceptional client satisfaction through effective liaison with clients, internal resource teams, and external suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations to manage both on-site and off-site account teams, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
- Oversee the professional development of team members via appraisals, mentoring, and training initiatives.
- Take ownership of resolving issues, addressing quality concerns, and implementing corrective actions promptly.

Growth and Client Development
- Develop and execute growth strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
- Partner with the Head of Client Development to create annual client development plans.
- Consistently achieve and exceed growth targets.
- Cultivate strong relationships with senior decision-makers to support business expansion.

Financial and Risk Management
- Manage the overall financial health of accounts, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Lead contract reviews and renewals to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Produce regular management information reports and maintain comprehensive account relationship plans.

Required Qualifications

- Proven ability to build positive relationships at all organizational levels, including Board members.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with clear and effective expression.
- Strong people management skills, including team leadership and performance management.
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in account planning, strategy development, and client retention.
- Successful track record in client and contract management.
- Ability to anticipate business challenges and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Experience managing departmental financials, budgeting, forecasting, and large P&L responsibilities.
- Extensive client service management experience, preferably including time spent working on client sites.
- Proficiency in managing client service plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Significant experience in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of Performance Improvement methodologies and their practical application.
- Experience working in fast-paced retail environments.
- Previous experience presenting to senior management and Board-level audiences.
- Proven operational management of client services departments.

Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have between 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in client services and account management roles.
