We are seeking an experienced Account Director to join a global, tech-enabled creative production and procurement partner that supports brands aiming for stronger, sustainable growth. With a workforce of 4,500 colleagues across 64 markets, the company serves clients in over 120 countries, managing more than $2 billion in client spend and operating 26 creative studios worldwide. Its proprietary technology platform processes over 1.3 million transactions for more than 111,000 active users, partnering with leading brands in retail, consumer goods, technology, financial services, and healthcare sectors.

The Account Director will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of key global accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering solutions within agreed operational and financial targets. This role requires a strong leader who can balance day-to-day client support with long-term planning, driving both team performance and account success in line with service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence
- Lead client satisfaction efforts through effective liaison with clients, internal resource departments, and external suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations to manage both on-site and off-site account teams, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Oversee the personal development of team members via appraisals, mentoring, and training sessions.
- Take ownership of and resolve issues, quality concerns, and implement corrective actions promptly.

Growth and Client Development
- Develop and execute growth strategies tailored to client needs and market opportunities.
- Work closely with the Head of Client Development to build annual client development plans.
- Consistently achieve and exceed growth targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers within client organizations.

Financial and Risk Management
- Manage the overall financial performance of accounts, including risk assessment and implementation of remedial actions.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Lead contract reviews and renewal processes.
- Produce regular management information (MI) reports and maintain detailed account relationship plans.

Required Qualifications
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in client services or account management, preferably within fast-paced retail or related industries.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all organizational levels, including Board level.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with clarity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including team leadership and performance management.
- Strong passion for quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience in account planning, strategy development for retention, growth, and added value.
- Track record of successful client and contract management.
- Ability to anticipate business challenges and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience managing department financials, budgeting, forecasting, and large P&L budgets.
- Extensive client service management experience, including time spent working on client sites.
- Skilled in managing client service plans and KPIs.
- In-depth knowledge of Performance Improvement philosophy and its practical application.
- Experience presenting to senior management and Board-level audiences.
- Proven operational management experience within client services departments.
