Account Officer

Job Title: Accounts Officer - UK Based Company
Location: DHA Phase 2, Islamabad
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 10 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. This role plays a vital part in supporting timely financial processing and providing management with reliable data to aid effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed financial reports.
- Conduct bank reconciliations as well as vendor and customer account reconciliations.
- Manage invoicing, billing, and all related documentation efficiently.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and performing variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and internal control procedures.
- Support audit activities and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Required Qualifications:
- ACCA Finalist or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (BBA, B.Com, or MBA).
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax laws is essential.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Practical experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero, including invoicing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication and coordination abilities to work collaboratively with various teams and external parties.
