Account Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant / Accounts Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sales tax invoicing, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth coordination between the accounting and commercial departments. This role requires proficiency in ERP systems, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to handle customer account reconciliations efficiently. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, preferably in the textile or manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and issue Sales Tax Invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Enter and maintain contracts within the ERP system to support seamless financial operations.
- Process and record production orders in the ERP system, maintaining up-to-date transaction records.
- Conduct regular customer account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process Delivery Orders through the ERP system, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Sales teams regarding customer orders, invoicing, and related documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting and commercial data entered into the ERP system.
- Maintain proper supporting documentation and records for all financial transactions.
- Assist management by providing account-related information and supporting reconciliation activities as needed.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned accounting tasks while adhering to internal controls and company policies.

Required Qualifications

- M.Com, MBA (Finance), or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Proven professional experience in Accounts or Finance, preferably within the textile or manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems is essential.
- Working knowledge of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) procedures and sales tax documentation.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant office software applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with prior experience in the textile sector, ERP-based accounting environments, sales tax invoicing, customer reconciliation, and coordination with commercial or marketing functions will be given preference. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
