Accountant / Assistant Accountant

Renowned for delivering high-quality products and exceptional technical support, the company is currently growing its finance team to support its fintech sector expansion. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Islamabad office. This role requires strong expertise in Excel, auditing, multi-currency transactions, budgeting, forecasting, and pricing to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and management of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with financial regulations and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Manage multi-currency transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment of foreign exchange and global operations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement pricing models for products and services by analyzing cost structures and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency in financial reporting.
- Perform variance analysis to explain differences between forecasted and actual results, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings.
- Maintain accounting records for multiple entities within the organization.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in auditing, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and other complex functions.
- Strong background in auditing and accounting for multi-currency transactions.
- Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Expertise in pricing strategies and cost analysis.
- Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with senior management and external auditors.

- This is a full-time contract position based in Islamabad, requiring on-site work.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
