Accountant (Evening shift)

Icon Global (Pvt.) Ltd., located in DHA Phase II Extension, Karachi, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join their team on a full-time, onsite basis. The position operates during the evening shift from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating with freight forwarders, and supporting purchasing activities. Strong expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and MS Excel is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping by recording all financial transactions in QuickBooks, including payments, purchases, and journal entries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes such as invoicing, vendor payments, and customer billing.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and assist in purchasing activities, including vendor communication and support.
- Assist in financial reporting and month-end closing processes while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is mandatory.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles such as journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with vendors and freight forwarders.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel for data entry, reporting, and financial analysis.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with Zoho Books or Odoo accounting software is an advantage.
- Experience of 2 years in accounting is preferred.
