The Accountant position at Habib Foods is a full-time, on-site role located in Gujranwala. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. This role involves preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. The Accountant will also handle accounts payable and receivable, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and assist with audits and tax-related documentation. Maintaining organized financial records, adhering to regulatory requirements, and providing timely financial reports to support business decisions are key aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounting operations, including recording transactions and ledger maintenance
- Reconcile accounts and prepare accurate financial statements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Monitor expenses and revenues for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently

Required Qualifications

- Strong expertise in financial accounting, general ledger management, and account reconciliation
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and basic financial analysis to aid business decisions
- Experience with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills, including spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements applicable in Pakistan
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry with the ability to maintain organized financial documentation
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA, or CMA are considered an advantage
