ACCOUNTANT

An established organization is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join their team at the MALC Headquarter in Saddar, Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles and practical experience in maintaining financial records, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. This role offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and half-day on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The position requires someone who can manage daily financial transactions accurately and support month-end closing activities while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update general ledger entries and accounting records with accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies found.
- Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and account summaries.
- Verify invoices, vouchers, and supporting financial documentation for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Support month-end closing and routine accounting activities efficiently.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of all financial documents.
- Provide necessary records and information to support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures at all times.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Practical experience with general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and financial record-keeping.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software applications.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Effective communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
