Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with 1 to 2 years of experience in the software industry to join our team in Lahore. This full-time, onsite role offers a competitive salary ranging from PKR 100,000 to 120,000, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The successful candidate will handle daily accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in bookkeeping, invoicing, payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, payroll support, tax filings, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate books, ledgers, journals, and accounting records to reflect all financial transactions. Record daily income, expenses, payments, receipts, and transfers systematically. Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including preparing invoices and maintaining receivables aging reports. Process vendor bills and maintain timely payment schedules. Perform regular bank reconciliations and promptly resolve any discrepancies. Prepare monthly payroll calculations and salary tax computations while supporting statutory compliance, including FBR filings. Generate monthly financial reports such as Profit & Loss statements, expense summaries, receivables/payables status, and cash position reports. Assist with month-end closing activities and conduct budget versus actual financial analysis. Maintain organized financial documentation to ensure audit-ready records at all times.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of practical experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance operations. A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or related fields is required; Master’s degrees such as M.Com or MBA in Accounting are also acceptable. A strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables and lookup formulas, is required. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, or similar platforms is necessary. Familiarity with the FBR IRIS system and concepts related to salary withholding tax is important. Candidates must have good command of written and spoken English, along with high attention to detail, integrity, ownership, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
