The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based at Nishat Group’s campuses in Multan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing accurate financial statements. This position requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure the institution’s financial health and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor cash flow and support payroll processing in coordination with the Human Resources department.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support institutional goals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management review and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to provide reliable financial data that supports effective decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial information handled.
Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in accounting and finance, including ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial planning within an institutional or corporate environment.
- Understanding of relevant tax laws, compliance requirements, and internal control procedures.
- Excellent numerical aptitude with high attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to work collaboratively with academic and administrative staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA or being a CA finalist are considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in the education sector or a similar service-based organization is beneficial.
