Accountant Officer

Meds Nexus is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant Officer to join their Accounts & Finance team in Rawalpindi. This full-time, on-site position operates during night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM (Monday to Friday). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor ledgers, overseeing disbursement schedules, and handling operational payables. This role requires a finance professional who can maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring timely payments and adherence to internal expense policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Oversight: Accurately process vendor invoices by performing three-way matching against purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Vendor Ledger Maintenance: Keep vendor accounts current and conduct monthly balance confirmations to ensure accuracy.
- Payment Processing: Prepare payment runs, schedule bank transfers, and execute wire transfers in line with agreed credit terms.
- Expense Audit: Review and verify petty cash replenishment requests, corporate card expenses, and employee reimbursement claims.
- Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary contact for suppliers regarding payment schedules and inquiries, fostering trust and clear communication.
- AP Reporting: Generate weekly accounts payable aging reports, forecast upcoming liabilities, and reconcile vendor balances regularly.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or BBA with a focus on Finance.
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of practical experience managing end-to-end accounts payable processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions and familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Soft Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, excellent organizational abilities, and clear, polite communication in English.
