Accountant

Job Title: Accountant (Construction Industry) – Urgent Hiring

Yukon Builders & Developers is a rapidly growing construction company with ongoing projects across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi, and Islamabad/Rawalpindi. We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, project-wise costing, and financial reporting. Proficiency in QuickBooks and prior exposure to the construction industry are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete books of accounts using QuickBooks.
- Record daily financial transactions including payments, receipts, and journal entries.
- Prepare and process invoices for vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cheque payments.
- Track project-wise expenses, budgets, and generate cost reports.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management information system (MIS) reports.
- Manage payroll accounting and oversee site petty cash.
- Handle tax records related to withholding tax (WHT) and sales tax, and prepare necessary data for filing.
- Coordinate effectively with site teams, procurement departments, and the audit team to ensure smooth financial operations.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related fields (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, ACCA, or CA Inter preferred).
- Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of Pakistan tax regulations including FBR guidelines, WHT, and sales tax.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Good communication skills in both English and Urdu.
