We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting various accounting activities within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or ACCA/ICMA/CA-Inter.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Freshbooks).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
