Accounting Associate

Genius Accountancy, a London-based firm specializing in accountancy and tax services for UK small businesses, sole traders, landlords, and property developers, is looking to expand its Karachi office team. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to work on-site, supporting our growing client base. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm Pakistan Time. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in preparing financial documents, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with clients to ensure compliance and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing company accounts and company tax returns
- Preparing personal self-assessment tax returns
- Preparing and filing VAT returns
- Handling Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns
- Supporting payroll-related queries
- Maintaining and updating client bookkeeping records
- Communicating effectively with clients to resolve queries
- Ensuring client records are accurate and up to date

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with bookkeeping software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical and organized approach to work
- Excellent communication skills in English (essential)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting role preferred

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with prior experience in a similar role will be given preference. The company offers a competitive salary range of PKR 100,000 to 150,000 per month, negotiable based on experience. Additional benefits include an annual performance-based bonus, regular salary increases, and medical insurance coverage. Employees are also entitled to EOBI pension contributions, 25 days of paid time off per year (including Pakistan public holidays), leave encashment according to company policy, paid exam leave, and paid sick leave.
