Genius Accountancy, a London-based firm specializing in accountancy and tax services for UK small businesses, sole traders, landlords, and property developers, is seeking a meticulous Accounting Associate to join their Karachi office. This full-time, on-site position operates Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm Pakistan Time. The successful candidate will become part of an established team, contributing to the preparation and management of various accounting and tax-related tasks while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing company accounts and company tax returns accurately and timely
- Preparing personal self-assessment tax returns for clients
- Preparing and filing VAT returns in compliance with regulations
- Handling Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns efficiently
- Supporting payroll-related queries and ensuring smooth payroll operations
- Maintaining and updating client bookkeeping records to ensure accuracy
- Liaising directly with clients to address their accounting needs and queries
- Ensuring all client records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with relevant standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency with bookkeeping software and accounting tools
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Analytical mindset with an organized and methodical approach to work
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role preferred
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with prior experience in accountancy firms or similar environments will be highly regarded. The role offers a competitive salary range of PKR 100,000 to 150,000 per month, negotiable based on experience.
