This full-time internship opportunity in the Finance & Accounts department is based in Lahore and reports directly to the Assistant Manager or Manager Accounts. It is designed for fresh graduates or entry-level candidates seeking practical experience in accounting and finance operations. The role offers hands-on exposure to maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, performing reconciliations, managing documentation, and supporting routine financial reporting. Interns will work closely with the Accounts team to develop foundational skills in various accounting functions within a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recording daily accounting transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Support the preparation and verification of payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, journal vouchers, and invoices.
- Aid Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including managing vendor invoices and payment documentation.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks such as recording transactions and updating customer ledgers.
- Perform basic reconciliations of bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts under supervision.
- Help post transactions into the company’s ERP or accounting software system.
- Maintain proper filing and organization of invoices, vouchers, and supporting documentation.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and other relevant documents.
- Support monthly closing activities and assist in preparing routine financial reports.
- Assist in maintaining expense records along with their supporting documents.
- Prepare Excel-based reports, schedules, and account reconciliations as needed.
- Provide assistance during internal and external audits by the Accounts team.
- Support inventory and accounting documentation, coordinating with Store, Purchase, Sales, and other departments.
- Adhere to company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls at all times.
- Perform any other finance and accounts-related tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), Accounting & Finance (BS), or Master of Commerce (M.Com) or an equivalent qualification.
